Arrival and accommodation in B & B or hotel.
In the morning walk to the Geothermal Pools. With its 3 swimming pools and many hydromassage you can stop for a minimum of two hours, taking advantage of the discount of the 20% that some facilities shall enable their customers.
For lunch I suggest you to go to the West Bay (Black Sand Beach/Spiaggia delle Sabbie Nere) where the lido 'Baia Negra "you may enjoy a delicious seafood salad or the typical Aeolian" cunzatu bread" (Pane cunzato) .
In the afternoon, by reservation, I recommend a beauty treatment at the wellness center "Magma", at the foot of the Great Crater of Fossa.
At sunset, go to Therasia Resort in Vulcanello area, the island connected to Vulcano by an isthmus of sand and rocks, to enjoy a musical aperitif with Malvasia and typical biscuits, before a unique and breathtaking panorama of the Aeolian islands.
For dinner, the restaurant "At the Crater" offers excellent local dishes.
In the evening, I recommend a walk under the fascinating stars of the Aeolian, particularly in the West Bay.
TYPICAL AEOLIAN MENU:
STARTERS: caponata, parmigiana, fritters of albacore, rings of squid or fried squid, dried tomatoes, eggplants in oil, cucunci and capers, sardines with peppers, red peppers stuffed with tuna, marinated anchovies, shrimp fried or marinated fish trap raw.
FIRST DISH: pasta with squid sauce or stuffed with swordfish and mint, or with shrimp or mussels or stuffed grouper with sauce and squid or calamari with zucchini and shrimp, spaghetti with clams, seafood risotto and cuttlefish ink.
MAIN DISH: mixed grilled fish or fried fish, grilled sword rolls, spatula fried breaded, peppered mussels, prawns, squids, scampi, grilled stuffed squid, fish soup, fresh whole fish.
DESSERTS: "Giggi Aeolian", "Nacatuli Liparesi" "spicchiteddi", Piparelli, Sesamini, Pasticciotti pumpkin, Cassatieddi of Volcano.
DRINKS: Malvasia delle Lipari, Passito.
